How can we help?

Mad Cat works with files you explicitly share or choose. It cannot enter WhatsApp’s private storage.

Catch a WhatsApp export

• In WhatsApp, open a person or group chat.
• Open the chat’s contact/group information and choose Export Chat.
• Choose With Media or Without Media.
• In Apple’s Share Sheet, choose Mad Cat Catch. If it is not visible, tap More and enable it.
• Open Mad Cat, select the catches, then choose Share files or Master ZIP.

Send to a Mac or Drive

Tap Share files or Master ZIP. Choose AirDrop for a nearby Mac, Save to Files for iCloud or an attached location, or a document provider such as Google Drive if its iOS app is installed and signed in. Apple and the selected provider control the final transfer.

Troubleshooting

• If an export is too large, retry Without Media or export smaller selections from WhatsApp.
• If Mad Cat Catch is missing, open Mad Cat once, then edit Share Sheet actions.
• If a Drive destination is missing, install its iOS app, sign in there and enable it in Files.
• If storage is low, remove completed catches after confirming the destination copy.

Contact support

Include your device model, iOS/iPadOS version, Mad Cat version and a description of the step that failed. Never email private chat exports, passwords or verification codes.

Typical support replies should never request your WhatsApp or Apple Account password.
